I have found myself being mystified less and less by the show, and more by the actual community. I still watch it, just not with the same fervor as the first season. Maybe it's because Lauren Faust isn't a major part of production anymore, she was after all, a big part of my justification for watching it. I dunno.
What I'm trying to say is that I think what the show has done has created fans for life, I know I will always have that connection with people, long after the show is gone, but it has created them in a way that fosters love and fellowship for each other. The brony community is like the mixture of corn starch and water. It kinda just floats there, existing, filling whatever space it can, but the instant someone tries to act against it, it solidifies, support coming from the whole pool, not just the point of resistance. And when the "hater" pulls his finger out, he'll have a little bit more brony stuck to him, which he'll have to fight to scrub off. I think that's what makes this community so special, and I'm glad to be apart of it. Yes, even the parts with the clop-doms. I don't appreciate them, nor do I think they should be written. But as a fellow brony, I am willing to defend their work. Everybody has their own interests, who are we to stop someone from pursuing them?
